MINI - Alignment Conditions

Alignment must be checked and adjustments made with the fuel tank full and the vehicle loaded to design ride level position.  Locate the model in the table below.  Place weights per loading illustration and jounce the vehicle.  Install special tool #32 4 110. Next, measure from the lower edge of the wheel to the lower edge of the special tool (see illustration), at the centerline of the wheel.  Record the measured height at each wheel. If the height is not within the tolerance, investigate and correct.  If the height is within the tolerance, add or remove weight to bring the height to within ± 2mm of the specification. Check and adjust alignment.
